Where is Tom?

Our cat Tom is a very social cat, he walks around the neighborhood and says hello to everyone he sees. The kids love him and he loves them. Most of our neighbors know Tom although they don't know us and they don't know that Tom has owners. You see, Tommy is the Houdini of cats and that is especially true for collars.

Tom normally comes home at night but yesterday he didn't so we got worried. When I got home today Tom saw me by the mail boxes and followed me. Our neighbor sees Tom and says "Oh there you are!" I quickly and nicely let him know that Tom is my cat and that I had been worried about him since he'd been gone for a while. The man was totally infatuated with Tom, saying that Tom visits him and that he accidentally had locked him into his apartment. Oh well, THAT explains it!! I told the man that Tom looooves to be pet and that it's totally fine that he visits, but to not close him in and please not feed him since Tom has colitis and is on a strict diet. If his diet changes, it hurts him alot and he poops blood.

Now Tom is home safe but I think we'll keep him inside for a month or so. At least until we have a new collar for him and his ID microchip is registered in our name. Maybe I should put up some posters asking people not to feed him too, just in case.
