Pumpkin and Spice and All That Is Nice

Good morning world, are you ready to be conquered?

I start work at 8 am today, which means sleeping in and still have time for a Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks. :) Ah, I love the atmosphere in a coffee shop in the morning. The somber lighting for tired eyes, the growl of the mill grounding beans to powder, the swirl of the steamer whipping cold milk into a consistency more suiting for a cappuccino, and the surprisingly nice and awake people both behind and in front of the counter.


Yesterday I went to sleep well in time; I was tired from the evening. Jordan took me on a date at Grand Wailea's restaurant Humuhumunukunukuapua'a (try saying that ten times fast!)

If I hadn't been too embarrassed I would have filmed the whole place to show you but instead I chose to discretely take pictures of the entree and dessert. Filming everything would have been, if not rude, then at least sans finesse. The food was wonderful, we had macadamia crusted Mahi Mahi (dolphinfish) with Tahitian sweetpotatoe and asparagus, and a tropical pie for dessert.
