Maintenance Day

Yesterday was maintenance day onboard Ocean Voyager. She just came back from dry dock in O'ahu, where she was together with the Black Pearl from Pirates of the Caribbean. Contrary to the name, the tropical landscapes in the movie were not filmed in the Caribbean but in Hawai'i.

Anyhow, maintenance always sucks and yesterday was no differend. Twelve hours spent cleaning up a boat... Today, however, I'm off and I will spend it watching Gossip Girl and drinking green mint tea with honey. My throat is sore, I wonder if it's from the dust on the boat yesterday.

The only nice moment at work yesterday was when a double rainbow showed up on the sky. That's always comforting for some reason.
