The past three weeks have been kind of crazy. There are still stuff to figure out with insurances and immigration and on top of that my job as a naturalist for Pacific Whale Foundation (PWF) has been confusing for me. There is so much to learn and a lot of different things going on at the same time that it has taken me until now to get a somewhat accurate overview of what is really going on at my job.
I work on a boat most of the time. We take (mostly) tourists out on boats to different spots where they can snorkel and experience Hawai'i's marine life close up. Our first stop is always a crater outside of Maui called Molokini. The water out there is very clear and even on a bad day you have no trouble seeing what is going on at the bottom 30 feet (10m) down. It's like snorkeling in a pool full of coral and fish.
Our second snorkel spot varies but a lot of time we go to turtle arches or turtle town, where we see turtles more or less everyday. We also see spinner dolphins now and then, including today. It's a really awesome job and I'm so happy I got it.
I have to go pick Jordan up at his new job. He got a job at Rolex and I'm so happy for him. I'll have to finish telling you guys about my job later.
Aloha!
